Bamenda, Cameroon | 28 May 2026
At Milestone Foundation, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their circumstances or disabilities.

On 28 May 2026, our team visited Ticha Denise Ndifor, a young boy in Bamenda whose story is one of resilience and determination. Denise was not born blind but lost his sight due to health challenges. Despite this setback, he remained committed to pursuing his education.

However, like many visually impaired students, Denise faced significant financial barriers. He could not afford the Braille materials and specialized training needed to continue his studies, placing his educational future at risk.
As part of our commitment to Quality Education (SDG 4) and inclusive learning for all, Milestone Foundation provided financial support to cover the cost of his Braille resources and training. We also donated a white long cane to improve his mobility, independence, and confidence.

Upon receiving the support, Denise shared these heartfelt words:
“Milestone Foundation has given me hope again. For a long time, I thought my education would end because I could not afford Braille training and the materials I needed. Today, I feel that my dreams are still possible. Thank you for believing in me.”

His words remind us that education is more than learning, it is hope, opportunity, and a pathway to a brighter future.
Unfortunately, many children living with disabilities across Cameroon continue to face similar challenges. With your support, we can reach more children, provide essential educational resources, and ensure that disability never becomes a barrier to achieving their dreams.
