Smiles, songs of praise, and heartfelt gratitude filled the atmosphere at the Our Lady of Consolation Center on Sunday, 10th April 2026, as members of Milestone Foundation carried out a memorable outreach visit dedicated to love, inclusion, and hope for children with special needs. The visit marked another meaningful step in the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting dignity, compassion, and care for every child.
The event opened with praise songs led by a parent, followed by an opening prayer conducted by a member of the foundation. Shortly after, the agenda for the day was presented, setting the tone for a memorable and impactful experience.
A heartfelt welcome address was delivered on behalf of the center, expressing appreciation to the Milestone Foundation for their thoughtful gesture and support towards the children and staff of the institution. Special thanks were equally extended to parents and caretakers for their dedication and continuous commitment towards the well-being of the children.
During the gathering, the coordinator of the center thanked the foundation for identifying with the children through acts of kindness and compassion. The priest in charge also shared words of encouragement, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and community support in improving the lives of children with special needs.
“Your presence here today is more than a visit; it is a message of hope and love to these children and to everyone who cares for them,” the priest remarked during his address.
The priest further explained the functioning of the center and the services offered to the children. The center currently accommodates about twenty-three children with special needs and is supported by dedicated aides, caregivers, and staff members working tirelessly to ensure their well-being and development.
Several activities carried out at the center were highlighted, including educational support, physiotherapy sessions, workshops, social care services, and donations aimed at improving the quality of life of the children. Members of the Milestone Foundation were also introduced to caregivers and staff serving in different departments of the center.
A representative from the Outreach Coordination Team of the Milestone Foundation equally addressed the gathering, presenting the vision and mission of the organization. It was explained that the foundation aligns its activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by combating hunger, reducing inequalities, promoting quality education, supporting healthcare initiatives, and building partnerships that create lasting impact within communities.
Parents and caretakers also shared touching testimonies and words of appreciation. One parent emotionally expressed:
“Seeing people come here to support and encourage our children gives us strength and reminds us that we are not alone.”
Many parents encouraged the foundation to continue its humanitarian mission and prayed for the growth and success of its charitable initiatives.
The visit also featured a guided tour around the center. Members of the foundation visited the physiotherapy room, classrooms, kitchen, offices, bead workshop, and bamboo workshop.
