
Upper Bokova, March 17, 2025 — The Milestone Foundation made a significant visit to Saint Joseph’s Orphanage, extending support to children while celebrating the 73rd birthday of esteemed donor Mama Philomena. This event highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to uplifting orphans and creating joy and hope.
Upon arrival, the Milestone Foundation team was warmly welcomed by the children, who helped carry provisions with cheerful smiles. The day began with a welcome song by the orphans and an opening prayer led by Mr. Stanley, expressing gratitude for the children’s lives and praying for Pastor Moussa, the orphanage’s caregiver.

Mr. Valentine from the Milestone Foundation delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing a lasting partnership with the orphanage. He praised Pastor Moussa’s resilience amidst societal challenges, and the orphanage founder shared the difficulties faced during the 2016 Anglophone crisis.

The children enjoyed a shared meal and engaging activities, including a lively “chair dance” competition. A virtual connection with Mama Philomena allowed her to witness the cutting of her birthday cake, where she pledged continued support.
Mr. Franck assured the orphanage staff and children of the Foundation’s commitment to addressing their needs, while Miss Brenda shared essential health tips. Pastor Moussa discussed daily challenges faced by the orphanage, from accessing water to transportation difficulties.
